We offer clean, safe, and comfortable boarding facilities for a variety of birds.
Please make your reservation early --- especially for a holiday weekend. Also, please call if you do not plan to use a reservation as we do hold spaces open for you. This is particularly important for medium to large birds, where limited housing space is available.
If you purchased/adopted a bird from us and you have not exposed your bird to any other boarding facility, bird show, long term hospitalization at a veterinary clinic, bird club meeting, new bird to your home, then you and your feathered friend are welcome!
If you did not purchase your bird from us, we may still agree to board your bird provided that certain conditions are met. Please call reservation desk at (661) 284-6200 for a confidential screening. Blood screening results from a qualified avian veterinarian may be required, so plan early for boarding!
About Our Accommodations
Your bird will be brought out for exercise and brunch on a hanging tree 
from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All trees have eating stations and toys.
At 5:00 p.m. all birds come in for dinner for a delicious nutritious dinner (see Menu and Diet below for details), with lights out at 7:00 p.m. If you have special sleep items or toys you wish for your bird to have don't forget to bring it when checking in (furry tent, bungee, bird buddy, etc.) we will place this in their sleeping cage.
SPECIAL OPTION: You may observe your bird during his/her stay with us live via the Internet! Contact a reservation clerk about this new feature.
Menu and Diet
All birds, unless otherwise notified, which is the responsibility of the owner, are fed twice daily a mixture of a variety of the following:
- fruit;
- vegetables;
- sprouts;
- soak & cook;
- pellet and seed.
We try to accommodate everyone's special requests for treats.
Important Considerations
If your bird is flighted, we will not be able to let your bird enjoy the hanging tree exercise time, 
and will instead have to arrange for special pre-store hours to be let out (an extra charge may apply). Since most of our fledging babies are learning how to fly during these hours, special arrangements will need to be made in advance.
At the discretion of the staff, your bird may be kept in for the day due to 1) aggressive behavior towards other boarders or staff members, or 2) for exhibiting excessive stress when placed out for exercise. We have found some birds that were not raised within the Bird Bungalow facility can be quite nervous and stressed the first day or so and would prefer to “check out” everything via a safe cage.
All staff members and manager on duty assess all boarders' emotional well-being as part of their daily duty.
